Is it better than, or worse than Photoshop? :-0

...(not that I'd very much be able to use it, being a Dabbling Artist >.>)

Depends on your definition of better.

But in many ways, it is.

It has a nice feel when you're using tablets. If you're looking for features, there's many better editors.

Generally speaking, SAI is better than Photoshop for painting, blending, and making smooth crisp lines.
For everything that isn't painting coloring or blending Photoshop is better. (recoloring, animating, text, cropping, transparency, warping, resizing)

They're just different tools, Photoshop is less specialized for painting so SAI is more ideal for that purpose, you wouldn't want to try to touch up a photo in Paint tool SAI though.

The principles of design and perspective stay the same no matter what medium you use though. You could start with MSpaint and still do pretty well.

Always love your randomness dude, makes some interesting stories in my head :)

Anyways, haven't been able to do anything creative for the past week or so, I just kinda wen't meh after the intial five minutes and gave up on everything. But finally this night, it has happened, the random spark was found again and it gave a big punch to my artsy center, kicking it into overdrive for some twenty minutes or so :>

Here's the result:

So, using a method I quite like whenever I can't think of anything, I created this.

I started by drawing a random line, in this case the outline of the worm, and just went from there.

Don't think I've posted these here, some sketches, scanned from my various sketchbooks, mostly done during studying/classess as breaks from the boring boring stuff.

I must say, I like your nechanical stuff a lot. I'm not an artist, far from it, so I couldn't say why, but something about those tanks and walkers just makes them look like they'd work.
Except for the 2 humanoid bots. Don't like those. Sorry.

It's one of my favourite ways to make stuff actually, approaching it from a functional point and trying to awesome up the concept while keeping it withing certain boundaries. It's a big part of it to make a whole backstory for something you're making, and it's what makes it very very fun form me personally :)

Anyways, some more digital stuff :)

Textures for now ^^

I've started collecting random stuff off the internet, anything that looks remotely interesting, both as inspiration or as a potential texture.
