Ah, so start with the most obvious and typical details, then build the less emphasised parts upon them. Such as modeling her glasses first, then tweaking the eyes and nose after that. Also, note the crook of the nose, as that seems to be the other distinct detail of her face.

Imagine a cool peice of sky-blue and milk-white marble about 3cm by 2cm and by 0.5cm, containing a tiny 2mm malacolite crystal. Now imagine the miles of metamorphic rock it's embedded in that no pick or chisel will ever touch. Then, imagine that those miles will melt back into their mantle long before any telescope even refracts an image of their planet. The watchers will be so excited to have that image too.

Oh, I was just joking about the "depraved" bit, not actually implying anything. Maybe I should have sprinkled some smileys in there. Sorry if it came out rude. :)

Also, yeah, it sounds that it'd be pretty difficult to get any art going on that computer. :-\ I'm thinking the USB stick approach could still work, if you installed a whole operating system on it and booted from the stick every time you wanted to actually use the computer. Assuming booting from a USB stick isn't also disabled.

I'd have no idea, also where to get a usb stick, and Japa I'd say to not judge it until it has glasses and hair at least.

You may find Google Docs useful if you want some off-site storage. You can write, draw and then load it up from anywhere with an internet connection. Just be sure to log off when you're done so it doesn't get discovered by accident. I think it creates backups of your stuff, but I wouldn't rely on that.


In other news, I'm thinking about getting a drawing tablet to develop some mad art skills. Not only is drawing on paper frustrating for me (Pencils and paper are finicky and annoying), I want to get into graphics design professionally, or at least get some formal training in it as a fall back career*. I'll definitely post my creations here when I do get the tablet, but does anyone have any suggestions as far as brands and products go?

*But mostly I want to draw cool avatars for myself.
