Nicely done, strongrudder!

I think the way the goblin's holding that bow looks rather off, though. I think it would be on the other side, but hey I've never done archery (especially not on horseback).

Hmmm, good point. The bow would probably be on the other side of the croc if he's shooting right handed, and the arrow would be on the outside. Well, at least the style of shooting I was taught. There are other ways to shoot a bow, so maybe goblins do it differently?

You guys are probably right. The intent was for him to be just looking around, thus he doesn't have the arrow at full draw and can probably twist around more. But the more I look at it, the more awkward the pose seems. X)

@Strongrudder: Yeah, not quite crocodillian enough. But still a very awesome creature!
I'll just pretend that cave crocs are supposed to look sort of mammalian until I educate myself a little better, hahaha.

Last time I played, those guys really ravaged my fortress. I like the design of that amphibian.

Indeed, it looks more like a gray komodo dragon.

Is there a program out there where I can make a line, and have those little handles on it so I can move it around like a noodle?

Paint.net has the best so far, but it only gives you four anchors, and if you are working on a larger form, there is nothing you can do about it.
I think I'm going to start using strokes instead to make shapes, but I'd really like a more flexible curved line tool.

I feel like making some art. I'll post whatever I come up with.

The Pen Tool?

It's in Photoshop, and I think it's in GIMP too.

Maybe I'll finish a few more sketches.

Try inkscape. it's free and open source, and it made specifivally for vector art.

http://inkscape.org/

What you mean is paths. Paths are what make up vector art, which is art defined by vertices, as opposed to raster art which is an array of color values (pixels).

I think inkscape is a pretty decent free alternative to illustrator.

Spreggo, you can just change the thread name to The Guild of Artists or something similar, update the OP and be done with it.

I'll post some doodles soon.

lol thanks for the input :)

I think I will just start my own thread, and maybe attract some other people interested in sculpting/painting miniatures. It is sort of an art in its own right.

I think a more general Sculptures/Crafting thread would be better, if only to attract a wider audience.
