Since I've started doing some "digital watercolor" and other styles that are out of my comfort zone on here I wondered if this is acceptable as a first post here? (I'm a terrible artist but I try)

It's supposed to be a cave on the side of a mountain. Or something. Looks like someone went in... and didn't come out.

If not, what does one have to do to be accepted into the guild? I don't think I'm a valid person to be giving critique given that everyone here is better at this than me but I can try. I can't post a lot since I have a pretty busy life.

I am also AWFUL at drawing people even after reading three books about it so I just won't try doing that.

EDIT: Jopax, I feel that someone needs to make "Robot Rainbow Ostrich Attack" after seeing that.

The general idea is good, but it could use some more contrast, darken the cave itself and use light and shadow to give the rocks some more form.

The mountain looks like the "head" of a slug/snail/what have ye. That is awesome. Intentional?

I don't think so, there was an idea to make it look like remains of some large animal or something but then it turned into a mountain, but now that it's mention it does look like a giant snail
