This... is something I really shouldn't be getting into. To rationalize it to myself, this'll be the only thing I say. I'm dead certain that others will be more than willing to argue this.

Pornography is not 'sad'. Music videos are not 'sad'. Both are forms of artistic expression. Okay, not really. Music is a form of artistic expression, pornography is, to me, more of a cross between mankind's desires to mate and also a desire to share things with the world. Neither one of these is a bad thing, nor is it 'sad'. Therefore, combining both is not 'sad' although I think in this case Rammstein is less concerned about artistic expression and more about making money and getting publicity.

Heh, yeah, porn is as bad in Germany as gore is bad in the USA. I bet they tape as much porn as Blink182, but making a music video out of it seems to be selling out. I sort of liked the older, more emotional and political stuff.

And yet gore is as bad as hardcore porn.

Pornography is not artistic expression, it's the depiction of explicit sexual subject matter for the purposes of sexual excitement.

When you have artistic expression with vaginas getting penetrated by penises in it, you're looking at Erotica (short for Erotic Art), which is sexual subject matter for the purpsoes of artistic expression.


It's an important difference, and Erotica artists who hear you getting the two mixed up will crucify you.
