I... don't get it. Were you being serious? Or was I right?

It's twelve thirty in the morning, don't make me think, dammit!

Of old?  Pah.  I remember when "The Chewbacca Defense" was a new episode!

I feel the inexplicable urge to make up some stupid joke involving a pun on wookies and the old movie the wicker man.... I did say that it was inexplicable.

One day, we shall all look back on this, and laugh. Sorry about the face, by the way, and the legs, and the eyes, and the arms. In fact, sorry 'bout the whole body.

South Park can be pretty clever when it's satirizing recent events.  It's too bad the rest of the humor is so low-brow.

He certainly isn't going to affect things to that degree, but no matter what, if he has a personal opinion on something, it'll cause a media shitstorm and affect him politically, in a good or bad way. So he has to watch what he says to the media.

Point in case : anyone else remember what happened when he said he liked Spiderman?

I dunno, if it was sarcastic, that would imply that politicians can say whatever they like and noone will hold it against them.  That isn't usually the case...

I'm not sure why we'd expect anything other than extremely low brow humour from South Park.  You can't exactly say that its standards have slipped when the first episode was called "Cartman gets an anal probe".

Right, if anything they've improved them, since now they actually touch on important or at least relevant issues rather than just random bizarre stupid stuff and extreme violence.

I still prefer it to Family Guy, which desperately tries to squeeze humour out of random situations which don't even fit into the plot. It's such a cheap tactic.

That's just weird.  (neither of them used "You're" or "it's" and they are both carbon copy... down to the smiley!)

"Having faith" that the bridge will not fall, implies that the bridge itself isn't that trustworthy. It's not that different from "I pray that the bridge will hold my weight."
