Read the spells, but think of the wizard while doing so.

Just to see what happens.

Don't just cast the spells! Read the instructions over first, just to make sure it's safe.

Search for anything imbued with fire.
Hell, an enchanted spoon would work.

>Read the spells, but think of the wizard while doing so._

you read the spells. some dusters from nearby dust off the wizard, some ivy grows around him, and he gets thrown into the ceiling. what did you think would happen?

>make a few copies of the instructions_

you go to make a few copies of the instructions. however, you cant find any of the purple glowing paper it's written on.

>Search for anything imbued with fire._

you find no such thing.

Memorize those spells (they might come in handy, you can never be too prepared) then see if he's started to melt yet.

And see if being smashed into the ceiling did any damage to either him or his house.

you memorize the spells

the block of ice and the wizard remain as frosty as ever. the house however, did not fare so well. there is a huge crack in the ceiling now.

Is our lighting precise enough to carve him out without zapping him?

>bring wizard to cave_

as you try to touch the wizard a shocking coldness runs up the length of your arm. looking at it you see frost has formed on it. this is mildly disconcerting.
(quick question. does ice conduct electricity since it's water based? be honest)

Yes. It does.

But that just means it'll go the shortest, and easiest path to the ground. i.e. along the outside of the ice, melting it.
