Alright, I have a problem with Firefox, and it's really bothering me.

When I want to download something, it only gives me two options, to open it up immediately upon downloading, or to just save it to my downloads folder. With IE, I could CHOOSE where I wanted to save it, but Firefox doesn't give me this option, and it really ticks me off! I don't like my downloads folder. Does anyone understand what I mean?

Is it possible to change this one particular aspect of Firefox?

Yes. Mine always asks where I want to save it.

Okay, open up the tools menu. Click on options.

The popup options window, under the main tab, is a section called downloads.

Set the option thing to "Always ask me where to save files"

Tools -> options -> "main" options tab -> downloads section -> "always ask" radio button

thanks you, very useful, zchris. i just switched to firefox due to IE having problems with long posts ( after any action, it kept taking me few lines above, more and more as the text got longer, so i couldn't see what i wrote, nor select things.) and this download thing was a problem for me.

Ya firefox is superior to IE as far as I'm conserned, may not help my version of IE is bugged but... whatever. ;D

hey Firefox & Chrome > IE anytime!

But I have never tried Opera... and Safari (MAC-using scum!)

Haha, yeah. Most people who are using macs are Artists.

No, not that kind of artists, ya know? <-- Was referring to how my people treat that word. meh.
