My dentist is a lovely woman who most certainly enjoys her job (as does her assistant) because she likes helping people.

There are plenty of jobs where you can help people and don't have to spend half your day inside someones mouth.

Most people don't know shit about anything.

If your medical practitioners have this kind of attitude then i have yet one more reason why i do not want to go to the US.

I live in Canada, Neruz. Although I don't see what difference that makes. Well...except that our dentists wear hockey pads to work and use maple syrup instead of fluoride. And you know how in TV ads they always say "4 out of 5 dentists agree"? That other dentist? He's a Canadian.

And I trust myself to be inconsistent in my trustworthiness. I don't think that counts though.

couldn't tell you about gas giving you a high, but i can tell you that you can become very immune to drugs over a period of time, my entire family (mother's side) has a genetic abnormality that makes us nearly immune to pain-killers, anesthesia, and nerve-blockers, so when I go to the dentist, I need about 5 or 6 needles (Canadian they give us some needle shit here) before I even feel numb, and half-way through I always need another 2 or 3, it's a fucking pain in the teeth, last time I went to the hospital I needed to be knocked out for a small surgery (broken bone had chips stuck all over the place) and I woke up 4 or 5 times DURING the surgery, and after they told me they were worried my heart would stop before they could knock me out.  On the other hand we are REALLY affected by caffeine, steroids and adrenaline.

actually, I have an impossible time getting drunk too, never tried opium, but if it has the same effects as a pain-killer I'm sure it wouldn't be too effective.....

Opium is similar (probably wrong here) to heroin. I hope I don't need to tell you to STAY AWAY from them unless you want to be addicted to them for a long time.
