Is the neogaff the same as the regular gaff? Because I've taken to riding that around. Does anyone have any idea what it actually IS?

The T-Rex doesn't even fight it.

He eats it.

The Excalibur thing makes me wonder. Glue it to a stone, and spawn a knight near it. I can't test at the moment, but will he attempt to take it? If yes, and unsuccessfully, would King Arthur be able to do it?

I believe they pick it up rock and all... Then they get horrible trouble walking.

Wasn't Excaliber given to Arthur by the Lady in the Lake anyway?

No. His scabbard is what you are thinking of.

There's some confusion with that. There was a sword in the stone, and there was the sword from the lake. Possible non-combat enchantments aside, I would prefer a sword you can cleanly stab into a rock to a sword that doesn't rust. :)

... I am apparently mislead. I thought the lady only gave Arthur the Scabbard for Excalibur.

There's some variations where he gets the whole deal from the lady in the lake, but I think they're fairly modern.

Actually the sword in the stone was not Excalibur. It was an entirely different sword called "Caliburn". Modern retellings tend to get them mixed up.

Also, Excalibur's scabbard was more valuable than the sword itself, as long as Arthur wore it he could not bleed, and would feel no pain.

IIRC, according to The Once and Future King, Arthur's dad, Uthor, gets Excaliber from the lady in the lake. Using it, he brutally wins battles, and Merlin grudgingly lets him keep the sword. At least until he sneaks into the enemies castle and gets his enemy's wife pregnant. Merlin then took the sword, and stuck it into the rock until someone worthy came along, that being Arthur.
