Just wondering, why does being bound to a dagger make Di'Ako totally powerless? You'd expect on a [5] he could gain the power to drain health...from his wielder. He could be possessing, cursed, or any other fun effect souls tend to do to inanimate objects.

Imagine a cool peice of sky-blue and milk-white marble about 3cm by 2cm and by 0.5cm, containing a tiny 2mm malacolite crystal. Now imagine the miles of metamorphic rock it's embedded in that no pick or chisel will ever touch. Then, imagine that those miles will melt back into their mantle long before any telescope even refracts an image of their planet. The watchers will be so excited to have that image too.

Summon a hollow cube/sphere around me to protect me from any falling debris.

That's interesting. I wonder if I could make a blind spell that works on other people. I attempt to do so.
?: You try to project the same magic that just blinded you into the surrounding area. You can't tell if you succeeded or not due to being blind.

Summon a hollow cube/sphere around me to protect me from any falling debris.
4+3=6: You summon a giant metal sphere around you. The added weight is the final straw for this poor structure, and the head mage's tower collapses. You get pretty shooken up inside the ball, but are protected from debris.

+3 to Summoning

Right Arm: Bruised
Left Leg: Bruised

I give my condolences to the soulbound guy.  I would consider that a death.  NEXT!

Head to that military camp south of the town. Enlist as a mercenary. Meet next player.
1: You start walking to the mercenary camp, but get attacked by bandits on the road. Luck 4: You react fast enough that you dodge away from their attacks.

I'll assume I rolled a {2}, since I didn't gain experience. Is this blindness like a magical veil, or more of a physical thing?

Run around inside the sphere. With any luck I'll get some momentum going and smash through the city. Air may start to be a problem in an hour or two, though...

Well then, I try to reverse the blindness spell to remove the veil of darkness. Or whatever the problem is.

You were the second. The first was caused by ... a minor problem with me not fully grasping the delicate intricacies of healing magic. I got better at it though.

1: You run around a but after a few bumps, falls and turns, end up stuck and unable to move.

Hey, is it getting hot in here?

Well then, I try to reverse the blindness spell to remove the veil of darkness. Or whatever the problem is.
6: Screaming wildly, you call up a blinding white light to banish the darkness away. The magical veil is gone, but the intense light hurts your eyes really bad. So you're still blind. At least you have a better method of getting rid of this one.

New Spell: Radiance
+4 to... Umm... Huh. You know, I don't have a magic school for this. That could be problematic...

Hmm. Well... err... I guess I'll turn Arcane Theory into the Metamagic school, where other spells that don't fit in the other 7 fall in. Arcane Theory hasn't really been doing much, anyway.

+4 to Metamagic
Quote from: Z. Chris
You know what to do. *evil grin*
6+2=6: Mr. Axe, I would like you to meet my recent acquaintance, Mr. Bandit Face. RTD 2: Your axe breaks his skull open. And his spine. And his pelvis. It stops there though, and you now have bandit-on-a-stick. Err, axe.

What's that, Mr. Axe? You didn't get along? That's too bad.

+4 to Breaking Stuff!

Strike im' Down with mah sword!
2: Sword? What sword? That wooden branch? Yeah, that will work. You strike at im', but miss completely.
Quote from: Bandit 2
Poke im' full of holes!
2: Spear? What spear? That wooden branch? Yeah, that will work. You stab at im' but miss completely.
Quote from: Bandit 4
Stick im' full of arrows!
5: Bow? What bow? That Ancient Yew Longbow? With the Bodkin Arrows? Yeah, that will work. You shoot at im'. RTD 4-1=3: He tries to dodge but can't get out of the way. Luck 2: The arrow cleanly pierces his left lung.

Z. Chris
Left Lung: Pierced

Whilst grumbling about my ring never being useful when I want it to be, I cast the appropriate healing spell to rid myself of blindness.

Oh, and I decided to remove the Proficient rank. The way I had it set up, it didn't grant any dice bonus, and it's taking far too long to get skillups now. Congratulations Lawrence, you're now a Legendary Summoner(since you were Proficient).

Z. Chris and Nirur aren't too far off from Legendary either, now.

Whoo.

I'll probably fry in a few turns unless I get out of this magma/furnace/glowing pit.

Summon an extremely sharp object.

(I'm going to attempt to cut my way out of this blasted sphere.)
