I was going more for the whole jump up and actually start fighting that shadow thing.

I cast Cure Nonexistant Minor Wounds on my ally, then enter the cave.
6+2=6: You quickly heal Lawrence's scratches.

+2 to Healing
Stand at the ready and declare that I am ready to begin the trials of the temple.
3: The man in the center of the room looks up at you.

"You are far too weak to survive the Trial... but if you wish it, you may take it."

A gate drops behind you. The man draws his sword and dons his shield, and starts advancing on you.
I must have missed that.  Hmmm... Let's just continue following the group.  Attempt to join up.
5: Regaining your senses, you charge through the forest, splintering trees and rocks as you approach the cave entrance. Debris flies everywhere in your wake, and several forest creatures flee at your presence.

+4 to Pathfinding
+2 to Breaking Stuff!

Head into the cave! Preferably without another interruption.
2: As you approach the cave, you are startled by some creature bolting out of the trees. You panic and run away before realizing it was probably the dwarf.

Hopefully I can get in a first good hit... otherwise I may be boned not having a midget to help me..... of well I'll bring the temple down around my ears if it comes to it.

Assist the group's entering of the cave
1, 1, 4: Despite their best efforts, both Nirur and Lawrence fail to enter the cave. However, Z. Chris, continuing his charge, tackles them from behind and propels everybody into the cave. After everybody gets up off the ground, the group walks further into the cave.

The walls are smooth and cold. There is little light in the cave, and it's hard to see. The cave continues in a straight line down to the depths; you notice no side passages. After a while, you spot a faint light up ahead.

Terra-strike the soldier, aiming for his weapon arm.

6+1-1=6: Connecting with the ground you stand on, you throw a large boulder at the soldier. RTD 2: He fails to move out of the way, and the rock smashes into him. The soldier staggers back a couple feet, and some blood drips on the ground.

Chest: Lightly Wounded
Right Arm: Moderately Wounded
Right Arm: Light Bleeding

Create a barrier of defensive magic that will repel any stone or offensive earth magic thrown at me, back at the soldier.

5+1=6: Utilizing your knowledge of magnetism, you create a defensive field that will repel all earth and metals.

+4 to Elementalism

4: You proceed into the room as well, noticing everything that the first two have.
