this is funny, the only is having any luck healing is me, and I'm doing it the old fashioned way.  Chris what do you think we should do?  I say search the ruins for valuable things... and maybe survivors.

Question and slight complaint: Shouldn't a moderately skilled person with unbroken concentration have three {1}s before dying, rather then two? I understand accidentally casting the wrong spell while trying to parry a sword from a hostile orc, but it's a bit hard to grasp a moderately skilled person with unbroken concentration accidentally carving an exploding rune.

I don't see how you're dying. Unless you somehow wound yourself further, a full recovery seems likely.

He says he is a traveling merchant, and that one of his rivals hired a band of thugs to rob him of his merchandise. As it was outside of the jurisdiction of the city, the guards refuse to help him. He wants you to find the thugs and get his goods back. They should be staying in a hamlet to the southeast.

He claims he had several enchanted items among his wares. If you bring his goods back, he will offer you one of the items as payment.

Yup.  APPEND THIS TO MY PREVIOUS ACTION: BEGIN SORTING GOODS INTO EASILY CARRIABLE BINS.
