well If your gonna fix you own shoulder, I'll head outside and stand a fair distance from the bandit's house and scout it out, trying to see if it's lying on rock, if all the men are inside, if it's one-story or two, and how many rooms it may possibly have.  All the while avoiding detection.

I return to the library to study fire spells.

The plan is to create runes of fire.

Like what, runes that cause a weapon to immolate on command, or are you thinking of the classic rune-trap, draw a rune on the floor and when someone steps on it KABOOM!

I haven't decided yet, but most combination of rune and elemental magic will be useful and fun. Gotta use the rune of energy for something.

I say you inscribe two-thousand runes of energy on an amulet, give the amulet to a wizard and the first time he goes to cast a spell, the insane amount of power released will destroy the planet.

6: You jump inside the sled and start pushing north. The giant vehicle easily clears a path through the foilage, and you make incredible progress. After a while the trees start to thin, and you find yourself at the foot of some mountains, likely the ones you saw north of Schalade earlier. You get out of the sled and look around.  Behind you is a huge path created by the sled; it will be easy for anything to follow you. There is also a cave entrance nearby, which seems to radiate a sinister evil. You gain a strength boost from pushing the heavy sled around.

+1 Strength

Grit my teeth.  Fix my shoulder.

6: You grit your teeth and pop your shoulder back into place. You exerted so much force that you probably bruised your muscle, but you can move your arm again.

+2 to Medicine
Status: Bruised Shoulder

I'll head outside and stand a fair distance from the bandit's house and scout it out, trying to see if it's lying on rock, if all the men are inside, if it's one-story or two, and how many rooms it may possibly have.  All the while avoiding detection.

6: You sneak outside and begin surveying the house. Like the others, it is built on the soft dirt around the hamlet. There are two stories, and it seems that all the men are inside. You probably could control the mud nearby, but it wouldn't do much good in a combat situation.

+2 to Ambusher

I return to the library to study fire spells.
5: You return to the library and grab some books off the shelf on combat runes. Flipping to the fire section, you find several well-detailed pictures of various runes, and commit them to memory.

+4 to Runecrafting

New Spell: Rune of Flames
New Spell: Rune of Combustion

I'll begin by trying to get a good control on the rocks I have, by making them slowly spin in a circle in front of my hands, out of sight of the house the bandits are in, if Chris gets in a fight, I'll shoot the rocks forward one at a time, trying to knock out or kill the bandits via sharp rock through head tactic.

I would like to buy a vowel, please. Oh, wait, wrong game.

I go form a study group on Arcane Theory with some random PC who's struggling with the subject.

Is it possible to use runecrafting and another school to create a wand of spells, say, wand of fireball, which won't fail to fire (might still miss, of course), but only has a limited number of charges?

FYI:

Rune of Flames will surround an object with magical fire. Rune of Combustion will make an object explode in a firey blaze. Combustion is stronger, but comes at the loss of the item.

(I'm probably going to regret this)

Drawing my knife, I enter the evil cave. Perhaps I'll subconsciously pick up something about evil magic if I spend enough time inside.

Erm... Well, don't expect to find a giant pile of gold, but there is bound to be something inside(well, something besides monsters that is)

Well, I have a better action then, I suppose.

I'll make a mental note of where this cave is, then scale the mountain and try to find Schalade.
