Depends on your definition of fun. Your fun or our fun? Orcs and Zombies make it extra fun. *Makes a point towards the Modding section*

ALSO
SPEND TWO HOURS MANUALLY GRINDING YOUR STATS THROUGH THROWING, SWIMMING AND AMBUSHING
DIE IN YOUR FIRST COMBAT AGAINST ONE WOLF DUE TO IT GETTING A LUCKY SHOT ON YOUR THROAT
SAVE
SCUM
WHAT THE HELL

IS WITH THIS SHIT

Other Fact: I don't care about other stuff too.

Evil man.

Well frankly by objective reasoning Adventure mode isn't fun.

I like it but I am more concerned about if the topic creator will like it.

If he liked randomly killing things that may randomly kill him at any point with little thought process... He will like it

If he needs anything else in this formula... Then... stay clear!

Adventure mode is little more then a toy right now, it will take time to turn it into a real mode of play.

Dwarf fortress is a toy, that's the point.

Lets not mince words. There is a reason to play Fortress mode beyond just to fiddle with it.

There is no reason to play Adventure mode except to fiddle

And to set fire to trees next to guards so you can steal the dead guards' spears and use them as javelins.

I use Adventurer Mode to test my amateur modding experiments, but beyond experimentation (and shenanigans as mentioned elsewhere in this forum), it's not really worth playing yet.  Of course, if shenanigans are your cup of tea, go right ahead!  The next version's underground updates may or may not change this.

*Laughs.*

I wonder if, in the next version, we'll be able to mod in guards with sharp, pointy heads.  All the better for use as javelins.

It can be pretty fun if you know how to play it.

I just find it funny that burning plants has been implemented yet picking them has not...

It definately makes it much more interesting... but without
1) A reasonable way to make money
2) A reasonable way to get equipment and food
3) A reasonable way to get companions

It just isn't there yet.
