I don't even know why I decided to keep it secret the first time.
Don't care about all the little people in the map, they are you at the time in which map was made. A small bonus. I might think about keeping it updated though.
This deserves a vote! do you want to see a map, updated with player positions, at the end of each turn? ( it would take little for me to edit it)

Just so long as no insanely fast, stupidly powerful creatures that turn people into zombies which turn into more of the creatures when they die turn up I don't have any objection to X-com...

lack of terror missions saved me from having to fight these things. Only 2 I met, and they were fried by plasma.
But floating people, mindless superalienly tough brutes and unnaturally thin people with psychical powers might spawn here and there :P

Now, I need to hunt more elerium. I promise you that, should I fail to write a turn, I'll at least write some X-Com roleplay.

Turn off my flashlight, take out my trusty bandage and painkiller, and try to fix everyone.
Try to channel the fire outside the building, I don't care where, just as far away as I can manage.
