Learn how to use Thermal magic to power the car.
|You walk to the side of the vehicle where you find the door. You open it and then enter. The ceiling is slightly lower than you but horizontal space between chairs is enough to allow you to walk more or less comfortably. You walk toward the back end of the vehicle where you see a big chair attached to the wall. It is different than the other and in the arms, where hands usually go, it has 2 holes. It seems that the chairs is built into the wall and you think that the 2 holes are connected to the use of magic.
You sit down, put your hands in the holes and try to start using thermal magic to start the engine; just before you start, however, you notice that there is already a flow of energy from you to the engine, and it is rapidly increasing. Just as soon as you start hearing the noise of the engine, you decide to avoid using your thermal magic. The engine increases in power, but the drain on your magic quickly becomes too much to bear. This thing probably wasn’t meant to run on magic alone.
You feel lucky to have noticed the flow of magic quickly. If you, for a mistake, had frozen yourself to the machine and broke any failsafe mechanism that might have been there, the engine would have probably kept draining your energy trying to power an engine until you died. Lucky you indeed.

|You are now ready to start working on the needle gun, but there is one last obstacle that doesn’t allow you to work: your arms were so hardened by your last healing attempt that you can’t use them in any meaningful way. Even using your whole strength, you can’t move the elbow by an inch. The frustration at this is great, so much that you even try to hit a wall to remove brutally the excess material, but after few hits you have to give up. The idea is good: taking away all the compressed skin that piled up in your arms. Unluckily, your arms are still fully innerved and it would be exceptionally painful to just cut them. Besides, your muscles and tendons probably still need repair. You try to use healing magic again, but you don’t feel comfortable enough with this kind of healing to do more than simple scouting. You see that it could be possible to soften muscles and tendons and the skin around them, then detach the excess stone-skin and pull it off like a pair of gloves. While gross and possibly bloody if you don’t empty the blood vessels, it may be a possible solution.

|you grab a sheet of metal from the spare parts and start trying to fold it and hammer it with your steel hand. Unluckily, having your hand covered in metal doesn’t make you any stronger and, as you discover soon, an hand shaped piece of metal is not exactly the best suited tool for metal crafting. Besides, starting with reinforced steel alloys maybe wasn’t the brightest idea. Might be worth trying again, but you seriously doubt you could craft anything decent with your hands
Try to find a steering manual for that machine thingy
|You enter The car after RAM and walk to the front seat, where the commands of the vehicle are. Luckily for you, there is a manual of instructions on the seat. Quite slim for such a big vehicle actually. Hopefully, it will be simple enough to learn to drive it.
You read it quickly. This is what you understood of it:
There are passenger seats and 2 special seats: in the front there is the pilot seat and in the back there is the magic-engine seat. The latter has 2 holes for the hands of the magic source, which have mechanisms to automatically drain the magic energy to power the engine ( Warning: the manual clearly says that the vehicle is not meant to run on magic alone and that trying to do so may cause damage to the vehicle, the engine, the magic user or all of the above). The controls are simple: a lever for speed and a spherical controller to change directions. There is a wide range of information displayed in the screens, such as height, speed, engine temperature and a few other useful things. The other seats can be moved, turned, or removed at will allowing for the vehicle to be a cargo vehicle or a bus.
Learn the 'Healing Hands' Power
|After the recent incident in the garage, You think that somebody should start practicing healing magic seriously. A medic will be useful in your travels. Problem is, there are no wounds around and after seeing what happens after an excess of healing magic, you’d rather not try it without any damage to fix. But you got a bright idea! You take a pair of scissor, make some cuts, and repair them. Little danger, lots of gains! And you start executing your marvelous plan, when you slip on the fuel puddle and the scissors fly upward, bounce on the ceiling, then come back toward you! Luckily, they landed near you and you got no injury, but they are completely broken. What a low quality tool! Also, your clothes are soaked of fuel.

VehiclesThis vehicle is a sturdy flying car, or boat. Able to lift many people and having a seat for a golem, this is one of the most powerful flying vehicle available to the civilian population, but it is also popular among military organizations. It has a large cargo space allowing it to be used for camping as much as for long travels or low level transport; The big cargo space and the fact that this kind of vehicle is relatively common in the roads made it a favorite choice among smugglers. First sold a decade before the great war, it was during the conflict that it saw its short period of fame, being heavily used by the military to compensate for the loss of more advanced vehicles lost at the beginning of the war and hard to rebuild.
While it has a full set of normal commands and the engine is able to lift the vehicle by itself, it is recommended to make use of magic to help the mechanical parts, allowing fuel efficiency, better maneuverability and less stress on the engine, leading to increased longevity.

The building in which you started
Vat room : the room you started in. it has several vats and machinery connected to them. Only your ones are empty, the other have dead and rotten corpses in them. On the ground there are some flashlights, -1 to moving until removed.
Corridor : a corridor leading from a door in the Vat room toward the exit, it has 4 doors on the sides, one of which open
exit stairs: some stairs at the end of the corridor which go upward to the exit. At the end of them there is a sturdy steel door, few centimeters open but blocked. There is some light coming from the door
Storage room: a largish room with several crates in it. It looks like it was meant to hold more than that
Lounge: it is some kind of a lounge, that was probably also used as dining room. It has some tables, chairs, a TV, some computers in the opposite wall, probably for personal use, and a coffee selling machine in a corner.
Generator room: a big room with a ceiling higher than that of the other rooms you have seen till now. There are cables everywhere on the floor, there are shelves, tools, the floor is dirty but the first thing you see is the machine that fills the room from the center to the back. It is made of turbines and graphite chambers, it is a nuclear power plant, very small actually. there is a smaller generator in the room, that should be able to partially power the building. there are 4 fuel tanks on the floor. Some wires are exposed and the room is covered by fuel.
bedroom: There are 6 beds on each side of the room, for a total of 24 beds, everything in perfect order: blankets, pillows… for whatever reason they abandoned this place, it was planned. Or somebody wanted to cancel any proof or fight… there is no way to know. The air is moist, there is some water on the floor. The people who lived there probably had a way to humidify the air underground, and during the years a pipe must have broken, releasing some water; the piping must be broken in some other places since it didn’t flood the place: probably the pumps stopped working, or the water tanks evaporated. Why would people live here? This place must have been either very secret or very important to force workers to live in their workplace, possibly using work shifts to keep people working all the day and night, or were they prisoners? You can only guess what this place was, but maybe people left something behind them that could help you to understand. there is a diary on a bed, damaged by the (years?) and moist air
Control room: A big room with computers on all the sides, maps on the walls, blueprints, desks, notes and chairs ,paper bins that were never emptied, even some chewing gum on the floor(maybe RAM would like it?) a control room of some kind. There are 4 doors, including the one you entered from.

Monolith dissection: At the center there is a … thing, a black, extremely flat, non-reflective cuboid whose dimensions are in the precise ratio 1:4:9. On its side it has a surprisingly neat and clean hole, much better than anything you could do with standard methods on standard materials. Inside, there is a great mass of electronic devices, the functions of most of them unknown not only by even the brightest minds on this world. It is put on some kind of huge operatory table, with wires connecting both inside and outside the black monolith. There are many computers on the wall, but all powered down, of course. Above the hole in the monolith, magnifying lenses, robotic arms with various tools and several other measuring instruments can be seen, used in the past to examine the monolith’s interiors, in an attempt to reduce danger of humans damaging something, despite it having shown to be nearly indestructible when needed.
sphere room You See, at the center of this room, a big steel sphere, raised by 4 steel pillars. There is a line in the middle, as if it was 2 hemispheres just pushed together. There is strange machinery on the sides, computer near the walls and wires everywhere. The computers are active.
The sphere was opened in turn 19, leaving many broken wires and bending the metal. Inside of it, a golem was found
GarageThis garage, found at the beginning of chapter 2, is used as storage for the flying vehicle which was prepared to give the “reborn” a way to travel across the continent, to do what is needed to awaken the rest of the people. The area closer to the door and near the walls has a floor made of ceramic tiles, while the center, in which there is the vehicle, is paved with asphalt. The walls are made of metal but are almost invisible behind the plastic panels full of a great variety of tools and the shelves full of spare parts for the machine. On the floor a puddle of fuel, quickly evaporating, is leaving a stain on the clean ceramic tiles and on the asphalt. One of the tiles is broken after the impact of Flintus’s head(ch.2 turn1) and has fractal-like cracks. One of the plastic panel fell after Diakron’s meddling(ch.2 turn1) and several tools, mainly wrenches, are on the ground around and below the light plastic panel. Near the door there is a level and , looking upward, you can see that the ceiling seems to be able to open.
