by the way, I can put recharging flashlights as a free action. I am sure that a turn dedicated to that would be boring. Improving the flashlight , however, is an action I can use.

I'll try to contact them, but if they don't want to return to the game I'll have to invent something. either we play with just 3 players, or I'll have to do triple somersault jumps to keep continuity.

Thanks for returning. I'll start writing the turn as soon as I get some free time at home. Summer has the nasty side effect of actually managing to get me to go out, which is bad. ( for the RTD, at least; I am sure my health enjoys it)

well, in this period I have a way too erratic life to meet any deadline. I started the turn, but some of your actions are problematic to write. overshots and failures that have no way of happening. things like that.

one thing that I have been doing is working on the map. in few time I will have an early draw of it. The current attempt is made by drawing with paper and pencil. Hopefully it will turn out decent.
maybe later today I'll have something to show, maybe not. we will see.

edit: by the way, if somebody has suggestions on how to show forests, mountains and cities on the map, feel free to express them. I am having an hard-ish time drawing them.

A bunch of irregular boxes should be fairly recognisable for a city.

Vertical lines for trees and ^ for mountains?

Unless being too abstract is what you want to avoid, hmmm, Tolkien's(huh? my spellchecker doesn't know Tolkien?!?) works have some decent maps, you could look for inspiration here. http://lotr.wikia.com/wiki/Map

funny that you suggest tolkien, because I am already using a map of middle earth the man was great.

and your spell checker needs some culture. desperately.

I'll take the suggestion of boxes... I tried drawing that and it looks good enough.


EDIT: wow, drawing is a draining activity, very tiring. I almost finished the mountains, then I will draw rivers, settlements, roads and forests/swamps , in that order. Then, I'll have to pass it through the scanner, write what the places actually are, possibly place a grid ( but I am thinking about just using a centimeter bases system. It would look better).
At least, it is good exercise.
also, I hope scanner will read pencil well, otherwise I'll have to ink the whole thing.
