Tamed Giant Olms gone 'hostile', how do I get rid of them?

Okay.... the last time I had this bug, the game crashed and that save was unplayable (the game itself was fine), but I suspect the Dwarf Therapist utility was involved. Anyways, here is the deal. One of the giant olms that I tamed (I removed the building destroyer tag and gave them the ability to reproduce) had gone hostile some time earlier, but since that one was chilling in the UG river, I was able to drop a slab of rock on it. I thought that would be the last of it, but now there are a few more and this time they are chilling in my dining hall.

Since I don't want to ruin my dining hall or squash my dwarves, not to mention that there is no solid slab above it to drop since the next level above (just below the surface) is my storage area.

I think making them into war animals may have saved some, not sure, but I believe the ones that went hostile are the origional residents and the rest are the offspring.

Actually, I just tested and they will move to other meeting designations. Maybe the traps will get them.

Maybe they already killed some dwarves before you tamed it, that makes them hostile, dwarves don't run away from them, and they can't trigger traps.

No, I captured all of them using traps and they were tamed without problems and they aren't even attacking my dwarves. I'm having the same bug as the poster of that Crocsplosion thread.

Also, I think I may be wrong and the 'hostile' ones don't even move and I can't even do anything with them, as if they were wild animals.

edit: hmm, I have an idea involving spike traps and the fact that they will move out of the way when a dwarf is building something under them......

edit2: ARG! It's like trying to herd cats, they won't do what I want, but I'm keeping at it.....

EDIT: Looks like spike traps won't work................................ Can anybody help? The ones on the aboveground levels I could just drop down......

EDIT2: Oh yea, I know I could use Dwarf Companion, but I hear it's only compatible with the base 40D version and I have 40D11.

Anybody?.... is there anything I can do about this (other than terminating all of the olms using the raws) or am I just going to have to live with it?

bah what the hell, I'm gonna terminate them......

This is yet another instance of bug 001082 - "tamed feature creatures can become hostile even without having previously attacked dwarves".

It's amazing how dwarves can make a stack of bones completely waterproof and magmaproof.
It's amazing how they can make an entire floodgate out of the bones of 2 cats.

I KNOW that..... :P

I was trying to see whether I can do something about it.

I was going to make them guard animals, but I can always use the grizzlies now that I have a male along with the two females.

You could move them to a new meeting point and then cave the roof in over the new one. Alternately, just herd them into a room and then put up a door that's not pet passable and leave them there.

Try weapon traps. They worked for my cave crocs.

I tried to get them to move to a different meeting area but they wouldn't budge more than a few squares from the spot. As for using weapon traps, I found them really difficult to get to where I wanted them to go, so I just slaughtered the rest of my tame giant olms and used the aquatic tag to air drown the mutant hostile ones.
