Making myself more productive
« on: September 13, 2009, 02:57:59 am »

I often feel that I'm a lazy person, and I'd like to change that. I think that having a notepad, and writing down things I want to do today might help.

I also have something of a bad memory, so the notepad would also work for writing down info and ideas and stuff. Which might be useful.

What do you guys think?

I find that mental stamina is a lot like physical stamina. It hurts to not be lazy, but once you get used to it, it's a lot easier. The problem is that you have to force yourself to not be lazy. Try doing something productive for the sake of being productive... learn a (programming) language, learn to play guitar, force yourself to spend an hour reading Wikipedia, something like that. It's sort of like a push up.. the first is the worst, then it gets a lot easier.

Notepads are also useful.. I keep a few around, coz I have a lot of thoughts and ideas, and jotting them down helps me not forget them :P Yeah, multitasking is a killer for a lot of stuff I want to do, because I tend to juggle stuff in my memory.

Fixed. Wikipedia is a time trap from whence you go, never to return. In fact STAY AWAY FROM THE INTERNETS full stop except when you really really have to.

First ten minutes of play I ate my loincloth and then got some limbs torn off by a super friendly rat. Thumbs up from me.

Lies. The chances of f*cking up bad while doing something will be far higher (as one would imagine).

Besides, you risk getting a stroke.

To OP: I found that a netbook increased my performance quite a bit, myself.
