I roleclaimed so the town would be aware of the fact that any day actions are now useless, and so that I don't accidentally start soaking up one use town abilities.

One would think the mafia would target Leafsnail now. I suggest that we assume he is innocent and protect him at night. Obviously, doing something suspicious would negate our trust.

Well, if you don't trust me, I guess Doorlock Dude (assuming he's on our side) could "protect" me at night (I don't have any night actions, so the roleblock doesn't matter).  If I'm lying scum, then at least I'd be lying scum unable to do anything.

Panda: I think the elephant gets targeted automatically, so we wouldn't be able to use any abilities even if we announced them beforehand.

However, I'm not sure if the mafia would target the elephant tonight. If they don't have many (or any) day abilities, they might be happy to just leave him alive to prevent townies from using their day abilities. A mafia kill of Leafsnail tonight might indicate a mafia with strong day-powers, though, just as a mafia non-kill of Leafsnail might indicate a mafia with strong night-powers.

Or they might not night-kill you tonight if any of the protection roles are on the town. It's hard to tell.

Hmm...I've never been a big fan of CCGs - I mean, I did and still do collect Pokemon cards, but I never got heavily into the battling and trading thing.

Hmm, well, it might be good to keep me in play to negate the Alien Transmogrifier role, since as far as I can tell using his ability now will simply make me swap roles with myself.  If the Alien is mafia, he could use this to swipe an RB/ Protection role for the mafia, or possibly even the Mutant for an extra NK.

well the AT might be forced touse you as one then you are removed from a list of candidates and he selects the second so basically you get a new ability and they get to be an elephant

Asking for protection or inspection is somewhat scummy, so I would like Leafsnail to explain why he asked for protection despite him not being a particularly good target for the mafia to go after.
