That line reminded me of Don't Stop Me Now by Queen.  Not sure if it was an intentional reference or just another bizarre line.

Why can't we find a way to safely dispose of radioactive waste and protect the environment? Even if I personally stop this alien invasion, what kind of planet will we be leaving to our children? And our children's children, and... Oh the humanity. The humanity! My big gun is out of bullets! I can't believe it!

I've seen this comic some time ago. All I can say is that it deserves the Doom title a hundred percent. It's hilarious yes.
