Playing DF on a laptop - HELP!
« on: September 12, 2009, 03:15:41 pm »

So, I tried installing and running DF on my laptop and it runs however the laptop lacks a numberkeypad so the + & - keys won't work. Is there a way to change that?

My laptop has a blue 'Fn' key close to the windows button and alt on the left hand side. A bunch of letters on the right hand side have blue numbers next to them. So if I hold the Fn key, I can press the buttons with numbers next to them and it would be like a numpad. Its also got + and - there. Yours might have the same thing?

Most laptops do have the fn num pad configuration.  However, it isn't exactly convenient to have to hold fn every time you want to scroll through virtually any menu in DF.  Remapping the keys is just that much easier.
