I'm trying to build a separate workshop area exclusively for gemming/studding my furniture with valuable materials(adamantine and diamonds, mainly) so I can easily get Legendary rooms. However, my dwarfs are insistent on dumping all my *black sand bags* in that furniture stockpile, despite forbigging both bags and cloth/leather from being placed in that stockpile. How to I get them to stop that, and only put actual furniture in there?

Forbid sand bags specifically.  Below the list of items to forbid is a toggle for sand bags.  It's a certain key, and I want to say you have to press 'u' to toggle sand bags on and off, but I don't have DF on this computer to verify that.

Prepared foods are the same way in food stockpiles.  I remember being very frustrated by that at first as well.
