You don't know why all of a sudden, but you feel a sadistic urge. You pick up the mangled corpse and dig a hole in his chest with your nails. You pick up his dry and drained heart; all wrinkled and like a dried prune. You pick up a post lying conveniently on the ground and embed it into the dirt. After giving the heart a last, longing lick, you impale it on the post.

Chuckling, you carve a smiley face into the impaled heart with your nail. Some remnants of blood splatter down the post.

Fun time over, you run away, sensing the sun about to rise in less than an hour. You see an abandoned apartment block, on the outskirts of what appears to be a city. As you near it, you kick down the door. The wood practically tears itself in half inside, you see a bunch of old wooden chairs, a bed and a shabby wardrobe. You hide inside the wardrobe.

Handily, you find some clothes inside. Your clothes are covered in blood and entrails, and it would be wise to change your clothes.

Carefully change clothes quietly and without letting any light in.

You aren't taking the chance that sunlight won't kill you. You can hear the birds chirping outside, so you know that daybreak has begun.

Slowly and silently, you try to remove the funeral finery you are wearing. It is stuck to your skin. You shred it up with your nails instead.

Cursing silently, you now pick up the other clothes. It is casual wear; a white shirt and blue jeans.

You wear the clothes and hear a jingle in the left pocket. Curious, you pull out what ever was in the pocket.
A scrap of paper with words written on it and five ragged ten dollar bills.

The paper says,
"The New Rave, Dareloth 2100"

Try to see if anything holy will affect you, which includes quoting the bible.

If it does, it will be placebo-like.

You wonder if you are affected by holy things. You were raised atheist, your father abandoning faith after the Vietnam War.

"If God is real... Then he is a real asshole to let us suffer and die... Like we did in 'nam."

Was one of your father's favourite sayings after a few pints of whiskey.

You try by praying. You form your hands into the 'praying fist'. However, in the process of doing so, you accidentally knock one of the cupboard doors open. A ray of light shines on you. You cringe in fear, expecting to be smitten into vampiric dust. Your fears are unfound, however.

It seems that you aren't affected by sunlight. However, you feel your hunger suddenly pang. You double over in momentary pain. You notice that your nails are no longer black; instead, they are milky white and soft.

You come to the conclusion that sunlight nullifies your vampiric endowments. However, you feel more hungry. You need to feed more often when you encounter sunlight. You dub this condition "Radiance Sickness".

What do you do now?

You'll be on there so long that you'll forget to feed and...something will happen.

Can vampire feed on any blood, or just human?

If the former, find and drink any stray animals.

But then, life was also easier when I was running around here pretending to be a man, so I guess I should just "man up" and get back to work.

Except for carnivorous ones. They're your friends.

Learn to resist the effects of sunlight, also, figure out if the note referred to anything...

Now that you have realised that you are not killed by sunlight, you can't help but wonder which myths are actually real, or just falseties.

You know the internet is a good source of information so you search around the apartment block. Outside, the thrum of cars and general traffic permeate this humid apartment block. There is nothing else but the three chairs, a bed and the shabby bloodstained wardrobe. You look under the bed. Nothing but dust.

You accidentally knock the bottom of one of the seats. It resonates a hollow "clink". You knock the other two and they both have the same noise.

Mystified, you suspect the chairs have false bottoms.

You also wonder if you can drink blood from other species, not just those from the human genus.
No way to tell save practical experience.

What do you do?
