cooking always seemed very undwarfy to me. my dwarves eat their food raw and seem to be plenty fine with it.

Yeah, not to mention how ridiculously easy it is to build wealth with cooking... all these craft options are apparently inferior to Dwarven Culinary Prowess. A single Dwarven Cheese roast stack seems to net you half a freaking caravan.  Which, of course, includes more milk and cheese...

we would have to cover the earth 100x over with trade depots, roads, fortifications and suicide booths to be rid of it all. the only answer is to utilize the dwarven metabolisim to eliminate it.

Make checkerboard floors using that and the orthoclase. Study the pile-up of stunned, vomiting and paralyzed dwarves, the few still somewhat lucid wondering if the cook accidentally put his stash of "Friday night mushrooms" into the barrel of plump helmets.
