You'll be familiar with these if you're a man and have ever been to a concert or sporting event, or have worked on a farm. It's basically a long, very long bucket that animals tend to drink from (or men urinate into).

I propose they be added to the game in the latter sense; my idea is to think of it like some sort of well like structure that attracts stray animals.

Mainly because I find them congregating all over my wells and getting in the way of dwarves who legitimately need to be there. I don't even know if animals drink, I doubt it, but it would be nice to have some sort of 'attraction' device to keep the halls cleaner.

Some of those events, it seemed like animals were urinating into the trough, and people were drinking out of them.

well.. might also be useful to change from trough into some other container... like a keg or so forth... for the dwarves

add a job called water hauling... so you can have kegs everywhere without having to dig wells all over the place.

water becomes stale after a while and needs to be replaced?
