After a tough battle, Apura leads her troops back to Zakhonia for retraining, seeing no purpose to driving onward at this time. It seems she'll need to gather more information about this area before rushing into any more ambushes.

Munisai moves one tile eastwards, one south, and two eastwards, continueing building his streets.

To celebrate the victory, extra rations of wine are handed out for the soldiers after the battle

General: Ogedei Khan

Ogedei doesnt really belong to any of the nobilities of the celestial kingdom, being native to the northern steppes. It isnt exactly clear how he managed to climb the ladders of society or even pass for a celestial citizen, but to this day Ogedei has managed to become a general of the celestial armies.
He is noted for his incredible ruthlessness. He has also taken to call himself as "Khan" instead of "general", raising some bad blood on some and admiration in others.
Ogedei has the looks of a steppe warrior, with harsh, gaunt face and lithe but strong frame. He really likes fur brimmed hats.

"Give me my sword! Fetch my horse! Today we ride!" His boisterous soldiers banged their shields and hooted like animals. "Today we show the usurpers who really own this land!"

That seemed to have riled them up, Noam thought. Amazingly, he had no doubts about his chances of victory. He firmly believed that the sun itself would drop from the sky and smite his enemies if he was in danger, so what did he have to worry about?

Noam the sun lord
Reactive move: IF Xian Jierui is in range THEN move to attack

The enemy was running away. That was bad. Infantry couldn't catch horsemen like that very easily. Still, Jierui had to do what he had to do.

Jierui moves 2 squares north and attack the barbarian scum.

A holy unremarkable and expected occasion.
"Well done, men" remarked Fierban as they set up camp. "There will be no combat drill tonight"
The men cheered. The nightly after dinner sparring was a tiring and boring affair, even if it had probably saved many of their lives earlier.
The wounded were patched up best as they could. The next day, when the rest prepared to go on through the forest, they were sent back to the city with one healthy soldier. Fierban sent his lieutenant a message informing him of the ambush and the wounded that would be heading back as a result. He also requested a reply detailing progress on getting the city into working order.
They travelled onwards, wary of attackers, but determined to go on.

Assuming no further bandit attacks Fierban and the cargo end the turn in 25,-1

Zei-Ran looked over the new recruits. Raw and barely trained, but enthusiastic about being in the service of the Celestial Lord again. He glanced down at his orders once again and turned to his Lieutenant. "We march to take back the Seyling pass from these cowardly barbarians. Ready the men for march."

"Yes, my Lord", replied the officer, bowing.

I shall take this pass, thought Zei-Ran, even if I have to kill every one of those barbarians with my own hammer

Infantry is trained.

Move two squares towards the pass at 19,-14

Lola continues her march northwards, The Sun beating down heavily on her men. Thankfully they were nearby an Oasis, otherwise they would have long since perished. Even so, she has ordered all her men to carry full water-skins and cover as much of their skin with light cloth. That should at least reduce the number of Sunburns that the orderlies had to deal with. When they moved a little closer to the barbarian's she will be able to sent out scouts to investigate their forces.

Lola moves North one Square.

Apura Khon is quite startled by this action. She'd thought there was no other way into the city besides the road she'd guarded, and now the barbarians were freely roving where she could not follow. She'd have to keep the town watch alert and her soldiers standing by until it is determined through divinations what trickery is afoot here. In the meantime, Apura will be making life harder than usual for these prodigal barbarians. They can't have gone far, and so long as they hide high in the mountains they will suffer harshly from the elements she can call down.

Ogedei Khan sat atop his black stallion, and rolled up the imperial order into a tube. He fumbled his pockets for some kind of leaves, carefully inserting them into the tube and finally litting it on the torch of his bodyguard standing next to him. He took a deep breath from it and watched as the letter smoldered and turned into ashes.
Ancient outpost? Secure it as quickly as possible? Then why not attack? He firmly believed that a quick offensive would be the best way to take such place. Ogedei grinned distastefully at the mere scouting mission he was being sent to do, yet it would be not his place to question his orders, yet.
He would gather a cavalry unit with him to deal with this as quickly as possible.

Cavalry unit is produced.

Ogedei and the cavalry move to (-18,-16)

Lola marched with her men, pressing West. The constant oppressiveness of the Sun was slowly sapping the will of the men, she knew. She also knew some details of the barbarians nearby her, and decided to spread that news with the men. THey had the advantage of them, after all.

Lola moves West

Not much action here, now. Jierui fortifies his position, scouts the area and tends to the wounded.

Munisai moves one tile south, one tiles east, and into the city.

He uses this opportunity to get to know the lord of this city, going out with him on a friendly hunting trip. Until the end of the week, he and his army enjoy the hospitality of this city.
Munisai sends out a message to the Celestial Lord, telling him that he had accomplished his mission.

Zei-Ran gathers his troops. They are obviously overmatched by these barbarians. Too green, too slow. He sends the wounded and 5 soldiers back out of the area and takes the rest. They will turtle up and drive streight through to the enemy commander with Zei-Ran at the head. He can handle the rest, and once the enemy leader is dead these savages will scatter.
