A family of two...

I just had an idea which I feel like doing. Its a derivative of the 'hermet' thing.

Instead of locking a single dwarf away, I lock a male and female dwarf to start a fort on their own.

The main idea behind all this is that they'll eventually have children, and you'll have a fortress composed totally of their bloodline.

So the main, and most worrying question is - If I put two dwarves in the fort alone, will they eventually get married to each other?

They might develop a grudge against one another, but that probably won't happen. What you should be more worried about is the fact that it takes children 12 years (I think) to turn into full dwarves.

Even though incest is highly common between cousins and more distant relatives, in my experience and to my understanding the children of your adam and eve will not marry and have more children.

I was going to do a hermit anyway, then I thought "Why don't I make him legendary at EVERYTHING", then i realised that he'd have no social skills, so i thought about putting a buddy in for him.

Guess I'll try it.

Gah, I didn't think about the Incest thing.

Guess Generation 1 will just produce a bunch of children, and G2 will just be... brothers and sisters.

Even if it takes 12 years to get the kids, they'll have legendary stats by the time you're done.

Additionally, they'll act as occasional haulers, IIRC.

I prefer Daycare of Armok (where you would add Armok to the Dwarven Vocabulary by modding)

Ehm, It might take 12 years, but with the fps you get with only 2 dorfs that would come rather speedy I presume.

You could just change the age that they turn from kids to peasants.

Like from 12 to 6.

Then think of it as them reaching child-labor age.
