my usual strategy on this game is to recruit / train as many veghier/ swabian knights and steam roller everything, the might of heavy cavalry (not so effective against rodok spears) it kicks nords. light lance for the win.
i recommend you find on of those guys that wants to over throw a king and start the reveloution
What you want is a line of Vaegir marksmen. Maybe not as effective, but a whole lot awesomer. Also, I've pretty much done everything you can do in vanilla.
Indonesia's warrior that's also a guinea pig for me adding in heroes.(Yes I did just copy Firentis)
EDIT: It seems giving Indonesia a two-handed weapon turns him into an endless pit of storage (giving him a two handed axe, then filling up the rest of his weapon inventory, and going out and back into the inventory screen will make them disappear until I take his axe away). He seems to work fine in battle.
We defeat the Rhodok Lord Laruquen, But lose 20 units.
A fight against King Graveth, and I must say, the odds are not good.
A battle of kings. Who will win?
Round 1: a horrible defeat. We lose almost twice as many men as they do.
Intermission: A Nordic lord and I take out an army of 45 stragglers with almost no losses.
Charging into battle with King Ragnar.
Round 2: A great success. We have almost evened our numbers with theirs.
No horses to see here.
Round 3: Our numbers stay within each other. I am brought down by a cross bow bolt.
Intermission: We are ambushed by 50 men while tending to our wounded. We number 28.
I make a
cowardly tactical retreat. All of us, except me, are wounded, but we manage to kill 26 of the enemy.
