Barbarossa's Epic Players
« on: September 06, 2009, 02:12:21 pm »

This list of players will be able to be used as a resource for community game players who really need help. (Or want to shake things up!)

Awesome Fort-Savers
ArkDelgato (Famous for saving Sparkgear 3 after my turn)
Demonic Spoon (Good at stabilizing spirals)

Hilariously Inept players
Barbarossa the Seal God (Just look at the beginnings of Sparkgear 3 and 4. Just do it.)

will add more as they come up. (Or when I remember them!)

As far as I know Ark only saved SG once? Though rather spectacuraly. It was after your turn and you charge of the orcs in SG III and he had only seven dwarves or some such if I remember correctly.

And, lol yes I'm VERY good at stabilizing spirals. WHen I'm done you can be certian that no dwarves will ever tantrum again.  :P

he had two sane dwarves and a couple invalids.

Anyways, feel free to recommend other people you think are awesome!

Shouldn't you list DS under both categories?  He's a good player when he wants to be (see: Talltower), and fiendishly evil everywhere else (see SG2 / SG3)

he actually does pretty well in sparkgear, as opposed to those who simply make booze and pass on the fort. (He makes overly complicated thingamadoodles.)

Threadomancy! Because I'm bored, and found this while having sparkgear as a keyword, and it says I'm a epic player which is always good for my ego.

Well, hopefully I can add more to the list in a few weeks after some succession games get going on the new version.

There's a game going on to create as much wealth as possible in 5 years, maybe the winner should be on this list?

You're talking about the time you murdered every living soul in solved housing problems in Sparkgear 2?

I just realized, after adding the new body parts to the other races, that I have an entire squad of dwarves with a shield in each hand and swinging their axes with their penises. There's nightmare fuel for those goblins, in more ways than one.

I believe QuantumSawdust should be on here.

Seriously, that place is unbelievable.

In August of 1943, while serving as skipper of the PT-109, John F. Kennedy's boat was ripped in two by the Japanese destroyer Amagiri. Kennedy and his crew were tossed into the water and surrounded by flames. Kennedy, despite a chronic back injury and an even more chronic boning-induced-exhaustion, managed to swim four hours to safety while towing an injured crewman by the life jacket strap with his teeth. His fucking teeth!

Dwarf Fortress is such a game that every player, no matter how crappy at the game itself, is epic.

I wouldn't quite say that.  What makes it not epic is how bland it is.  Which isn't necessarily very bland, but relative to the epic losses and epic achievements, it looks bland.

Yeah.
Entire fort built inside a dorf-made cavern. A cavern big enough to fit several megaprojects.
Megamegaproject, anyone?
