ooooo

now i want to go catch some dragons!

....if only i knew how....

....and if i had more than 6 dwarves...

...and those dwarves weren't too busy getting drunk to try and tame the dragons, despite having no experience in training and being soaked in a very flammable brew of dwarven ale....

on second thought... shit, it aint gonna work.

lol

hope it does eventually, where a dragon will come to love me after i feed it anywhere from 50 to 200 dwarves to win its trust.

Would the [MEAGABEAST] tag prevent them from mating as well?

Yes, it would!

Dragons; they have mated a little lot too much. I just pulled a Jurassic Park.

They're burninating the countryside a la http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail58.html (Trogdor).

They've killed the elves off (dragonfire and wooden armor...); the humans have two towns. Even a few of the dwarf settlements fell. Frankly, I'm more amazed at the ones that survived. In any case, I've found a way to systematically exterminate the elves before seeing any, leave enough humans to trade with, and only kill half of Dwarven civilization. Big win for the surviving half (my fort and civ)!

This is a win for numerous reasons:

By using hordes of dragons, it was like having lots of self aiming magma flamethrowers that could reach elves and not reach (most) dwarves;
My Dwarves are enjoying masterful roasts with dragon tallow, dragon meat, cat meat and finely minced plump helmet spawn;
Me being distracted from my legal writting class;
Did I mention dead elves on fire?

Note, and I cannot state this strongly enough, have a separate area for them away from your booze stockpile at all costs!

Personal experience has shown that with tamed dragons you want to have a seperate area away from you're everything.

Agreed, but booze explodes, causes fires, and the game does not handle fire well (for your dwarves, the personification of fire seems ok with it).

A world overrun by dragons. Good gosh, I want to give this a try now.

To the dorf pulling the lever, the lever is just a lever. The magma pouring out of the mountainside is just a coincidence. To the dorf designing a pump stack from the magma sea, it is just that: a pump stack. No specific reason for it. It will never do anything.
for reasons best knows to themselves, the elves decided to explode
