Someone else will probably have to help you, it's been so long since I installed it I don't remember how I got it working.

Also, just played another solo game, Orkses on Smurfs.  Smurfs got plowed, again.  That Power Klaw is a horrible, horrible thing.

Who didn't, MM or me?

Anyway, I think I'm ready for a multiplayer game.  Is anyone up for one?

Don't forget to post a battle report here of that MP game! :)

Did some more sculpting today.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Also got me some tools that are meant for sculpting clay. Really nice.
Want to do some wolffurs, but there isn't much room for adding stuff on the models I've got lying around (mostly wulfies).

You have to go to file->load (or something like that), and then select the v40k vmod file. That's it, after that it should show up in the main window of vassal on startup.

I just set up a Tyranid army, thought it was all good, and realized I don't have any Synapse Creatures in the list.

There are keys embedded in my face.

Screw it, for the purpose of the game I'm playing (Alone, of course ;_;) Hive Tyrants and Carnifexes are Synapse Creatures.

Want to test out our armies for the fight, Cthulhu?

In a bit, I spent a long time setting up this rule-breaking Nid list, I'm going to use it.

How many points is the eventual big game going to be?

I thought that it was two 500pt armies a side.

Anyway, 'nids game is over if you're still up for some multiplayer.

Fine, but I haven't got the rules memorised yet.

I've been doing similar to what you did, putting two copies of my army against each other. All I can say is: Mortars are deadly against the guard, and when one teams mortar took out the mortar on the other team, then it was pretty much over.

I've been thinking about getting rid off the veterans Chimera, in exchange for another heavy weapons squad.

For our practice game, I'll leave it as is, then I'll pit copies of the army against each other, one with the chimera replaced with a heavy weapons squad. Winner wins.

Derp.  They didn't list it like a regular ability, but stuck it in a paragraph that I didn't bother to read.  Who does that?  All abilities should be in bold and listed in top-to-bottom format, not hidden.

Oh well, Space Marines lost anyway.  They killed all the hormagaunts that went after them, then the Hive Tyrant killed most of the marines.  The Dreadnought killed the Hive Tyrant, but couldn't bring down the Carnifex before it went all smashy on him.  Carnifex got 5 Penetrating hits on him in the first round, and that was even after I misread his entry and listed his strength as 6.

Dayum.

Can anyone help me devise a 1000 point shooty list?

Maybe a couple permutations, and i'm making some Flash Gitz right now, the one i'm working on will be modelled after the Heavy from TF2, with the Medic in the squad too.

I sure hope that's legal, or he'll have to be a count's as-Grotsnik.
