...What?  I'm looking right at the list, and it says "Space Marine Sergeant".  Where are you looking that it says "Veteran"?  And at any rate, yeah it's talking about the Sergeant (they used to be differentiated between Sergeants and Veteran Sergeants, but not anymore).

The Sergeant having a Storm Bolter and Chainsword is a little wonky.  Chainswords don't have any specials rules to them, they're just close combat weapons, and the Sergeant's Bolt Pistol already does that.  The Storm Bolter is cool, but you'll still only get one close combat attack, because he still only has one one-handed weapon because the way it's worded (if you're into that kind of rules-lawyering), the Chainsword replaces the pistol.

I don't understand what the Scouts are supposed to be doing.  "Normal Loadout" is boltguns, and combining that with a shotgun and two rifles is pointless as all get out.  I highly suggest picking one weapon for the whole squad (Sniper Rifles being good, since they're free and work great).

On the Dreadnought, I'd recommend the Assault Cannon for the same price.  One point less strength, half the range, it's not twin-linked, but two extra shots and it's Rending.  (I never realized they only shoot 24".)
Storm Bolter is a two-handed weapon, which is why you cannot get one extra attack.

You have 5 Scouts...

The Sergeant's one attack is exactly what I said, I know he was altering the weapons of the five Scouts, and check the Summary page.  Assault Cannons only shoot 24", and always have.

Battle is underway.  Thread isn't persistent, so you can't use it to check movement distance as it'll disappear when you go to move your guy.  You have to use the ruler, which sucks.

Is there a more recent Codex than 4E for the Guard?

Here's my list.

Yes, there is a 5th edition Guard book.  It actually makes them competitive with the other modern armies, and is much easier to use than that options-mashup of the 4th edition book, may it rest in peace.

Damn.

I'll have to have a look at the 'hobby shop' for it.

And then have to re-do that army.

You have to download Vassal.

Then you have to download Vassal 40k from the Mediafire link in one of my earlier posts.

You install Vassal.  You install the module.  That may be simply by extracting into a module folder or by an .exe in the module download, I don't remember.  Then you play.

I'm still playing this solo game, once it's over I'll play you assuming it doesn't take like six hours.

In other news, I'm closing my browser and disconnecting my internet to minimize distractions.
