Couple extra people joined my league.

Pinder-Tau

Sheridan- Black templars (Hi Workerdrone!)

Somekididon'tknowthenameofyet- newbie, getting some blood angels.

Bloomie- Some form of space marine, i'd assume one of the cool chapters.

Some other dude- Spess puppies (Ugh)

I may need some help with tactics here...

I still hold out hope for my human wave tactic.

However, I've read some "tournament army" threads on /tg/, and I have to say - if that boring rules-lawyered shit is how the game is "supposed" to be played, I don't care if I never win a game.

Four Fucking marines.

And sir also decided to have some Spess marine bodyguards for his Army, all with Mk6 heads (The awesome beaky ones) and i'm slighty buggered.

his land raider is also converted well, it has a FUCKING KITCHEN.

But, your best bet is taking at least one 12 squad of lootas.

With warboss, nob mob with painboy 3 Pks and Waaagh Banner

Hah, that is why I love playing Tyranids. Carving your way through a space marine army is always fun, and there are always space marine armies to kill. The only armys I really have trouble against are Orks and Eldar, The Orks useally outnumber me with thier new codex, and I just cant seem to catch the eldar. You need numbers to beat space marines, sheer numbers. Try to keep your army in cover as much as possible, and get as much feel no pain as you can.

I've been thinking, and whilst Space Marines still impress the hell out of me, I'm not sticking with them for very long. Their vehicles bore me, and I know that sounds really damn weird. 'Cept dreadnoughts. They look awesome.
Eldar, now, Eldar have a certain attraction to me, one that started very recently. Also Tau.

You sir, are gonna get raep'd. You would be hard-pressed to pick an army that plays more differently than the Spesh Murheens, except possibly the Dark Eldar.

I'll say this, if you really want to play Tau, and intend to play any kind of pick-up games, you'll probably want to wait until they get a new codex (whenever the hell that might be*).  As I understand it (not knowing Tau myself) the many changes to vehicle and squad rules in the 5th edition have left them virtually unplayable in their current state.  Everyone I've ever seen talking about Tau said that you have to be prepared to get your ass handed to you over and over until you learn the perfect combination of tricks to break even.

The Eldar on the other hand, while flimsy, have stupidly powerful guns.  Knock yourself out if you're interested.

*Sometime after the 6th Edition, behind the Space Marines, the Black Templars, the Dark Angels, the Space Marines Redux, the Blood Angels, the Space Marines Oops We Forgot This, the 6.5th Edition, the Dark Eldar, the Space Marines 6.5 Update, and the Space Wolves.
