Yeah, just dude it up any way you want to.  Gold trim is good, or if you're ambitious you could glue little studs all over it like GW loves to do for some reason.  Or just paint it as ordinary, and if anybody asks you say, "Hey, it's the Captain, why wouldn't his armor be Artificier quality?"
Or use Green stuff and make MASSIVE PAULDRONS

Imperium Mafia wouldn't last very long; as soon as it was established that there was the tiniest suspicion of heresy possibly anywhere near the village, the entire village and surrounding area would immediately be burned to the ground.

Nah, they only do Exterminatus if it's deemed that the infestation is beyond the ability of the Space Marines to eradicate.

Huh. I bought a bunch of SPESH MUHREENS a while ago. I put 'em together and painted them, played maybe one game against my friend who got me into it. I got brutally murdered, decided I didnt like playing, but painting and stuff was fun.

I got a dreadnought and some kind of tank :3

40K is fairly complex, you will need to dedicate some time to the rules and learning how to play if you don't want to get dominated.

Adding "Feel No Pain" to an already stupidly tough to kill unit of Nobz?  Sounds golden to me.

I want to play this game so badly, but I just don't have the money. The worst part? I'd purchased an army of Space Marines already, but botched up the painting so bad I can't bear the shame of anyone seeing them.

I love the fluff, though--the Space Marine Codex is a wonderful read before bed.

I'm assuming Space Marines are called Space Marines because they are rapidly deployed from navy ships (and hence are marines*).

If this is the case, would an Imperial Guardsman division that are also rapidly deployed from navy ships also therotically called Space Marines, even if these Guardsman are not genetically engineered super troopers?

*Marines, defined as, "members of a body of troops trained to serve on land or at sea". The sea, of course, being space.

The Guardsmen advances by invoking We Have Reserves.
And by lot and lot of Nid-rushing.
