I thought you did get an extra attack, and could reroll one failed one.

Or did I misread that?

4 attacks, I think.

Yes, you misread it.  Lightning Claws give you one reroll to wound (not to hit), but you have to have two of them to get the extra attack for having two weapons.  With an ordinary Power Weapon, you get an extra attack from any other one handed weapon that isn't a Lightning Claw or Power Fist.

At least that's how it worked in the 4th edition.  Lemme go check that.

Just three.  I was wrong that Lightning Claws only reroll one wound.  Turns out you reroll every failed wounding roll once.  But you only hit three times (four on the charge).  Throw a combi-flamer in the other hand and you're good to go on killin' Orks.

Get digital Weapons. That is one reroll for hitting.

I knew somebody would say it.  YOU'RE WRONG.  Digital Weapons give a reroll to wound as do Lightning Claws, and you're never allowed under any circumstances to reroll the same die twice, so Claws and Digital Weapons is completely pointless.

Can digital weapons be used at range?

No.  They're just a wargear option.  All they do is reroll a single wound in close combat, nothing more.  It's specifically described as lacking the power and accuracy to be used at range (which differs a bit from established fluff but it's GW's game to write so whatever).

You are right. Sorry. :P (About digital weapons)

Artificer Armor is somewhat worth it. Take melta bombs for anti tank.

Artificer armor looks basically the same as regular armor, right? Could I bluff it?

Yeah, just dude it up any way you want to.  Gold trim is good, or if you're ambitious you could glue little studs all over it like GW loves to do for some reason.  Or just paint it as ordinary, and if anybody asks you say, "Hey, it's the Captain, why wouldn't his armor be Artificier quality?"
