With the Imperium relying so heavily on Space Marines, Psionics (like The Emperor*), Abhuman Ogryn, Cyborgs, and "Machine Spirit"-controlled Tanks...it's a wonder why the Imperium is still considered "human" instead of "multi-racial".

*Assuming the Emperor is not an Old One, as Xenology hints at.

I'm still waiting on getting any 40k models till they make some damn Death corps of krieg IG figures. Why? So I could play out the horrific grimdark trench civil warfare with my girlfriend. X3

They already have them Sofia, Unless you were referring to PLASTIC miniatures.

If not, they have a fairly wide range of Kreig Models.

You're never going to get them, ever, except through Forge World, which of course is stupidly expensive (though I guess not quite as insane since the Pound has sunk down to the Dollar's level again).  Before Forge World came along, the GW way of making Death Korp was Steel Legion figures, but of course they discontinued that plastic line back in like 2003.  Your best bet now is to either hope for a Codex: Armageddon reincarnation, or learn to model gasmasks onto Cadians.

And I'm right there with you sister.  It's a fucking shame.

Well actually, depending on just how ambitious your modeling skills are, there is another good source of Games Workshop trench-war figures.  WHFantasy Bretonnians - Just look what this guy did with them.  No gasmasks obviously, and you have to find an assload of spare lasguns somewhere, but it's worth looking at.

Or you could probably find some other source of miniatures, like actual WW1 wargame figures, but I wouldn't know where to look.  I'm sure Google knows something.

Ah, yeah I figured as much... Oh well, I guess I might as well just start looking for something similar in style to be placeholders.

WOLVES WOLVES WOLVES WOLVES WOLVES WOLVES WOLVES WOLVES WOLVES ohgodmakeitstop

So, the new Space Wolves Codex just launched, and if I never see the word Wolf again it will be too soon.  This is a seriously jacked up book, and yet more sign that the one and only thing Games Workshop gives a damn about after gutting it's long time design staff is selling more models.  Flagrant revision of history, hilariously broken special rules, and a whole section of Sagas (Character Bonuses) and Oaths that specifically says that breaking the attendant Oaths has no consequences.  Oh, and they don't get to field Leman Russ Exterminators anymore, which has been a signature of the chapter since like their first 2nd Edition list.

Not that I give a shit or anything, since I have no interest in playing as them.  But I'm damn sure that when I get a new army, I'll wind up playing against them and their "10 Attacks and Hit God on a 3+" Captains.

Space Wolves are the fucking lamest Chapter ever.

Lemme put it this way. I dislike Ultramarines simply because GW gives them all the cool shit promotional wise (unless your THQ, they got their own chapter, pah) but the Space Wolves?

Worst. Chapter. Ever. So much hate.

Is it just me or does it seem like GW is purposely avoiding to make a new Dark Eldar codex?

Not that I'm complaining about that, but as you stated already, the chance of running into something that overpowered is going to be a pain. (Not that Ork don't have some really underhanded stuff)

Yes, and I can't fathom why, since they don't seem to want them to just die off down the memory hole.  They were supposed to come before at least the new Tyranids codex (since moved up), probably the Wolves (oh boy), and the rumored supplementary Chaos codex (cultists and such), but I think that one got chopped up into concepts for the Demons and Guard books.
