Anyone up for a 1000 point game?

I've had a room set up for a hour waiting for Jakkarra.

Anyone want to go against a 1000 point IG army?

Since this is the general Warhammer thread, I thought it wouldn't hurt to come here to ask for your opinions on Dark Heresy. I'm considering grabbing a copy, see, and I wanna know your opinions on it.

I was like, ha, this looks like a pretty dumb and boring game. I was so wrong. Gentlemen, I have discovered true fun.

It's pretty good.  It kind of feels like it was trying to do too much, though.  It's got fear tables, insanity, corruption, all kinds of stuff, and it feels clunky.

Rogue Trader is a significant improvement upon Dark Heresy, in that a lot of those things Cthulhu mentions being clunky are changed a bit to make them less clunky.

Did they keep the hilarious critical damage charts?

Phew! I lost this thread in the mass, thank the Emperor!

What is up with SpaceWolves? They get more free flamers than other chapters, yet there are only splasmaguns in the box...two of them in fact.

Which one?

I'm thinking of modding a corrupted Nurgle IG army with zombies.
Should be fun with some creative scenario and contagion rules building.

Yes, they changed some stuff.  Some of the more absurd critical damage effects were changed, but it's mostly still there.

The only codex I know of upcoming (besides another round of spess mahreen chapters) is Tyranids.  And that's not due out until like February, so no.

Don't hold your breath for the Tau one any time soon. You'd likely see Necrons first; never mind the other factions they've got to update for 5th.
