Thumbing through the manual, I just realized why my rending legionaries lost close combat to necron warriors - I forgot they also get one extra cc weapon each, so they've only been doing half the damage they should have :(

So, I just spent a few hours playing a game of Gorkamorka against myself.  It wasn't exactly easy.  Every activity, broken down logically, has like fifteen different steps scattered all over the rulebook.  I think I'll make a flowchart or something.  Nonetheless, the 40K vassal module can be used for Gorkamorka, you just need to specify exactly what you're rolling when (using the basic dice roller), and color code all your Boyz.

I think it's worth the effort too.  Orks are inherently entertaining and staring them in a clown-car rendition of Mad Max fits just right.  Like 40K proper, the dice will conspire against your plans at every turn.  In the opening round of the match, one mob's Nob leaped out of his speedy buggy, only to suffer a dire wound upon hitting the ground and went out of action.  Rolling for injuries after the game (for giggles), he wound up losing an arm, an eye, and his teeth.  I like to imagine his erstwhile underlings summarily ate him for such gross incompetence.  Running this out over a campaign would be hilarious.

They actually have rolls for specific parts of the body? Sounds entertaining indeed.

Slow and Ponderous units being able to run is retarded.

That is all.

Should be called steady or something.
edit: awsome fight 3, I think we might want to do that again at a later point with pure swarm armies.

Chaos Daemons are hilarious. My daemonette squad got 50 attacks on his tyrant in an assault. Sadly, that only inflicted 3 wounds. D:

Also, pink horrors holding their own against termagaunts in melee. :D And by "holding their own", I mean it's 3v2, and neither side is inflicting wounds now. :|

Of course, this was against less than half his forces, only the tyrant and two gaunt squads, on account of the dawn of war deployment being rolled. While I was forced to deepstrike half of my army, which amounted to my HQ, plaguebearers, pink horrors, and daemonettes. The other half trickled in before he got his first reserves into play.

Daemons would probably be very good at 1500 points or more. 1000 is brushing the bottom of usability. Even so, this army would probably destroy IG, as would my all-slaaneshi (or unaligned) one. The one those fucking op toasters tore apart. :P The all Tzeentch one might have been better here, the five horrors I brought in in the first turn inflicted as much damage as everything else until the third turn, and they were locked in melee after only one volley. :/

Just finished a 3k fite against Daniel

The two mighty armies line up; the IG outside the front of their great fortress (no i don't know why either), the Orks ready to attack! Warlord Ghazghkull Mak Thraka leads the charge against none other than Comissar Yarrick himself!
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

The final moments of the fight before Yarrick Daniel surrendered like the dog he is. a gentleman.

It sorta looks like he still has a chance.

But a Ghazghkull/Yarrick thrashin'? I would 'ave loved to see that.

Yeah, all those tanks don't exactly scream "dead" to me, and there's a ton of dead orks.

Anyway, were there any flamers in the IG? In the one game where I got my flamers to orks, they popped like popcorn. Killed a dozen with two flamers in a single shooting.
