Wolf Wolf of the Wolven Wolfers is overpowered, from what I've heard.  People were freaking out on /tg/ over it.

people are always freaking out over how over/underpowered new codices are.
I'll believe it when I see it. :)

Reasons to not listen to complainers:
-I've always done wolves.
-I have a habit of sabotaging myself with army choices.  (eg I'm not mathhammer material).
-They will get their own overpowered codices in time.

One reason that Wolves are over powered.

They can assault with multi-meltas, if you get a certain bit of kit.

EDIT: Anyone want a 1000pt game?

That's hardly the only reason.  As I told /tg/...

So let me get this straight.

Ork Stormboyz are better thought of as less fighters than as green rocket-propelled warheads.

The various Aspect Warriors have honed their combat prowess over millennia, and move faster than the human eye.

Imperial Assassins and Dark Eldar Wyches are so hopped up on combat drugs they'll explode if tweaked wrong.

The spawn of the Norn Queens exist only to consume, and their every neuron, cell, and gene drives them to kill.

Bloodthirsters are defined by their namesake trait, and are but the lowest of servants of the God of Slaughter.

And you're telling me, that out of a whole galaxy stuffed the rafters with beings who define wanton mayhem, only Space Puppy Trainees are quite belligerent enough to earn +2 attacks when charging?  Fuck you Games Workshop.

I'm sure that ability will be sprinkled liberally throughout the armies once the codices catch up.  But yeah, Space Wolves are stupid even if you ignore that.  Also, Bjorn the Fell-Handed, enough said.

Hell, even I'm considering trying to get an actual army after having played. And I both have no money, and find the act of giving money to GW morally inexcusable.

Anyways, I'm up for a game that starts within the next couple of hours.

What is it about Bjorn that you find so beardy?
Besides the incredible save, which is logical for a machine that has survived battle for more than ten millenia.
When he eventually dies. The way objectives change is pretty cool.

(Still, I'm not likely try to not use any of the older preconcieved special characters)
What is up with the wolftail amulets/ wolfteeth necklaces? Almost all my models got those! Now suddenly they are rare-wargear for characters/elites?

It seems like Akigagak always tears me apart in the first round, but as soon as I start moving he starts losing.

That Executioner is going down, and your Basilisk is useless.  Think your flashlights can take down my Daemon Prince AND raptors?

dunno wat ye mean about the writing thing....

anyhow 500 point gloryquest pack:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I may need to split up the claws to get two troopchoices.
Also It might be more fun to include some lone wolves in stead of the skywolves. I've foregone any heavyweapons in order to have more close-in fun.

Next: longfangs supporting scouts. :D
