It's always bright where I am, because I'm right next to a big commercial area.
Yeah, well here in Georgia, it is dark.

Okay, I need a guide as to how to play with the 40k mod because this looks like so much fun.

Look in the Vassal 40k folder, you'll find a users guide.

I would like to publicly announce before Emprah and the Chaos Gods that the Trench Warfare map that comes with V40k totally sucks harder than someone's mom.

So you did lose that one badly then?

It was looking hilariously grim for you when I left. What possessed you to move your HQ unit into the range of something that could turn it into a smear on the ground?

Well, that was a good game. I killed his chaos lord on my first turn, with a vendetta gunship. :D

In all, he lost... 12 marines(?) and his chaos lord, and got his rhino immobilized. I lost four veterans (which only happened because I didn't think about what he was shooting with, which left him firing bolters at 24" after moving >:| ; but, it's my fault for not catching the mistake at the time) and had one vendetta immobilized.

I think something similar would have happened on any map, unless there was insane cover that stopped me from tearing them apart from afar with my grossly superior range and mobility.

This was the army I used:
Code: [Select]
  Lord Commissar

  Veteran Squad x2:
-Autocannon x2 (Each with one, so two in all)

  Vendetta:
    -Heavy Bolters
Vendetta (Two separate squadrons, each with one vendetta)

It could be I haven't read that far into the manual but how do you get those maps? All I get are blank ones.

I HATE FIGURING SOMETHING OUT AS I CLICK 'POST'.

I would, however, like to know if you can download maps. Making my own is fine, but slow.

I propose a 2v2 of me and Jakkarra. YOU SHALL BE CRUSHED BY THE GREEN TIDE!

Can someone come on V40K? I'm teaching JR how to play.

We're encountering immense difficulty to simply start playing each other.

So if someone else could come on and play that'd be sweet.

I just loaded up the game, told it to look online, found a "room" with Bay12 in the name, and double-clicked on it.  Then I right-clicked to synchronize with the map and started doing crap like dragging in models.

And no, I can't play right now.  Final exam in four hours, gotta study.

I opened up the program, looked at rooms for all modules, found Jack, but could not join. I have the module fresh off the site here.
 Huh.
