Who were you playing against?

Also, oh lawd you got krumped.

You've gotta get into melee with them.  If you put the entire Tau race into one unit of fire warriors, a single assault terminator would make them extinct.

Also, my army, standing fast against the Waaagh!

Yeah, it's over the top, but I didn't ask to be a Space Marine person.  I'm just acting the part.  You know every space marine person makes things like this because Spuss Mehrens are over the top.
As for why only the commander is actually shooting, I'm lazy.  Deal with it.
Plus whenever I do stuff like this I just can't stop adding to it.  Remember Cthulhu-Taokaka?  Remember how every few hours she got more and more corrupt?  Same principles at work.

Also also, I know Space Marines are few in number and stuff, but come on.  That's 16 guys and a tank.  They call that a Combat Patrol.  Psh, more like 16 guys and a tank.

I was fighting Magma Death.

Currently in a three way IG(me), Nids(Magma), and Toaster(Neruz) battle.

Unless I'm mistaken, I see 18 Fire Warriors, 3 Piranhas, and 6 Crisis Suits, up against 3 Infantry Squads, a Heavy Weapon Team, and two Command Squads (one a Platoon Leader right?).  Call me crazy, but I think you fielded a Hell of a lot more points worth of Tau than Guardsmen.
Well, That was me, and suits aren't actually that expensive. Pirahnas are only 60 each, and fire warriors are only 10 each.
No idea about the IG, but he did have a ton of heavy weapons around, so that might have wasted some of his points. Not that he got to use any of them.

Even with no weapons, 6 Crisis suits (one of them a Commander), 3 Piranhas, and 18 Fire Warriors comes out to 535 points.  Add it weapons and options for the Suits and you had to be close to 600.  The Guard army looked like a Command Squad, a Veteran Squad, and an Infantry Platoon with two squads and a Heavy Weapon group.  They could only have reached 500 points by loading stupid amounts of wargear onto the command squads.

Ah fuck it, whatever.

We may have common cause...

Just downloading Vassal and the 40k mod and all that. Jesus this looks complicated, and yet so fun.

So I've got it all set up, but here's what I get on start up.

"The maximum heap size stored in your Preferences for this module is too large. In particular, the maximum heap size must be less than the amount of physical RAM in your machine. The failsafe initial heap size of 128MB will be used instead. Please decrease the maximum heap size in your Preferences, and restart VASSAL."

And it doesn't open period unless I choose 'edit module'. This may have come up before in this thread but, well, lazy people make fools of us all, huh?

Or something. Point is I need help.

Maybe you should edit the maximum heap size in your preferences so it's lower than your RAM?

Did so.

I found a way around it, however. It still comes up with that annoying warning though.
