Someone who knows spess mehrens.  I'm wondering.  Since we'll be fighting Orkz I'm going to need to inflict a lot of kills before they get to us (Then again, Jakkarra like shooty Orkz, so I dunno).  What would I be better off with, a Dreadnought with Assault cannon and twin-linked autocannon (Dakkanought!!) or a Thunderfire cannon?

Go with the thunderfire, it stays nice and still...

I wish we could get all Orky on it and weld the thunderfire to the dreadnought.  You wouldn't stand a chance.

Also, is that actual advice or are you telling me what you as my opponent want me to have?

Tried my first hand at making a silicone mold today...
either my silicone rubber is too old or it is not suitable for creating small molds.
It has a picture of it being used to cast a tin horse though. :/
It is very difficult to pour and almost immediately starts to cure when the reagent is added. I don't see how it can possibly not have bubbles entrapped at the model/rubber interface. :(

lol at battle log...but why no battlefield images? Ostentatiously the program is for creating battlereports, yes?

Nobody took any, I dunno.

In the future, I think we should add windows to buildings.  Maybe use those little gray target arrows to mark where they are or something.  Without windows, there's only a little combat cover, and a whole lot of impassable wall.

AAAAAAAAAAAAHrg!

I just realize I forgot to soap the first part of MyFirstMoldHalf.
Now I'll probably have to extract it by surgery.

Modifications to my list are done.

Dropped the tank for 2 lascannons, and some minor tweaks.

Good move, depending on the type of engagement you're expecting.
Assume long range sniping?
Tanks can be effective, but mostly vs other tanks and assorted heavy gear.
They can be indispensable for getting your squad to point Charlie, halfway up a battleground, A.S.A.P. though. :)

hmmm grilled cheese sandwich. :p

For Marines against Orks, especially on this small a table, I would think a Vindicator would be a lot of fun.  Better front armor than a Dread, and you can theoretically wipe out a whole mob of boyz in one shot.
