Vishnu is the maintainer. He does not could not would not FTW. his entire purpose of existence is to preserve and maintain until Shiva is ready to destroy it. Shiva is the destroyer, the magma and the FTW device.

Unless Vishnu ever runs out of coffee, then with no one to throw the "Don't destroy the world" levars, it's pretty FTW

I had ALL 15 immigrants simultaneously get possessed within 20 seconds of entering the map.


Did the pass through a Haunted Forest by any chance?

Nah, I my fortress was located on a 5 tile big desert island with a mountain tile in the middle. There was a dwarf civ right next to the island. I was trying to make a cool fortress.

I was planning a huge magma moat on the left side of my fort and a huge water moat on the right, kept seperate by a wall of floodgates. At the switch of a lever, the water n' lava rush together to make an obsidian bridge. Example as below:

M = Magma      |      ~ = Water
# = Floodgate
______________
|MMM#   #~~~|
|MMM#   #~~~|
|MMM#   #~~~|
|MMM#   #~~~|
|MMM#   #~~~|

That goes to make a bridge. Not practical, but it is very dorfen.
Not practical only really because the resultant bridge would be rather annoying to undo in case of emergency.

Not so much if the passage leads to a tunnel under the wall on the far side of that moat.

I mean, it's kinda cool, but it's a one-time effect unless you mine it out. As a front-door thing, it's a liability unless you make two layers so you can shut it solid again. Problem being how you close the gates..
