Am I the only one who DIDN'T think about anything fallic when I saw Plump Helmet for the first time?

I made the mistake to ask my mum, who is a biology teacher, so now I have all those tabs, and also analog books everywhere... -.-

The short version is that the part you eat is a swolen up part of the flower itself, so it's just like any other part of the tree, but on the other hand each seed is made out of a bazilion layers of shimeras and suicidal babies and triplid stuff, so each seed could posibly count as MORE than one individual.
