Bug: I sent a squad to the court house to get themselves arrested.  They found a cop standing with a liberal lawyer and surrendered to him.  Later that day, another liberal hotwired a car and had a cop pursue him as he drove off.  The cop was apparently the same cop from before, and he still had his lawyer friend in attendance.

Perhaps the lawyer is there to assist you with your upcoming police brutality case?

I like the slogans "Semper Libris" and "Sic Semper" myself.  The kinda have a ring to 'em, IMHO.  It's also fun to celebrate new versions though.  Like when molly's were all wierd because of the clip system, I went with "We couldn't start the fire!"

This has probably already been documented, but it seems that recruited animals are functionally identical to humans except that they start play with no skills whatsoever, are automatically charged with treason (BAD DOG!) and aren't permitted to make seduction attempts (even to other animals). This has lead me to create a "Canine Liberation Front" squad consisting entirely of heavily armed dogs in funny outfits with Molotovs who just run around blowing things up and discussing animal cruelty with random passerby.

I would like to ask that this not be fixed in future versions, except possibly to make it permissible for animal characters to be naked in public with no ill effects.

EDIT: I've also noticed that women's rights laws are being reset to arch-conservative status (from liberal or elite liberal) every time the Supreme Court hands down decisions. I have a copy of the save file on hand if it is needed.

Have people changed the game since 4.00.5a but not changed the version number?  What else was done?

E. Albright most likely meant the development version has been corrected.

Poor shlubs like me have to wait till they release a new version in order to get it the easy way (just download from the main page).

There's also a way of grabbing the source code and compiling (which would net you the version E. Albright is probably talking about), but that is outside my realm of expertise.

Hey guys, I've been playing LCS for a while now, never posted before though

I'm having a strange bug, where all my normally secure locations (prison, cop shop, courthouse etc.) are the same, with a large easy to access entryway that is fine to walk on without disguises, and the special squares are in this room.

It means I could walk straight in and free prisoners/influence jury for example.

The strange thing is, I only get this on this new copy I just downloaded onto a different computer, I think I'm using the latest version on both computers, but only having the error on one?

What could I do to fix this? (I imagine it's something to do with the sitemaps file)

I dont' think thats a bug. Its just random luck where the jury and prison is placed, and you got lucky enough that its in the place where its not illegal to be.

Tehstefan is right.  There's something like a 19% chance of this occuring.  If you don't like it, simply restarting a game should fix it.

If not, it might indicate an incompatability between sitemap.txt and your computer (it's rare, but possible).

IIRC, you can delete the sitemap.txt file to disable the new map generation system and the game will revert to the old system.

There also seems to be a bug with heat. Locations can get stuck with extremely high heat. I think I have a save, if the bug hasn't been fixed yet.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned. I bailed out of a car and started trying to run. One of my guys ended up back at the shelter even though I had failed to escape and he was carrying a dead body. Now every time I send him to a site or try to look at his status the game crashes.

Just had to say that I started playing this game around 9pm last night. Next time I checked the clock it was 4am! Good thing I graduated high school the other week and don't have a job yet..
