Are sleeper lawyers now intended to "expire" after using them for pro bono work?  I had two sleeper lawyers (percentages around 34%), had five liberals going into trial at once, the first three of them were allowed to go pro bono, and the day after the trials, both sleeper lawyers were gone from the network.

No, they are not. That sounds like a bug -- nothing should be different except that they are only sometimes available.

Edit: What did you have them doing, outside of the trials? Did they win their trials?

In that case, the lawyers were laying low the entire time.  They were both enlightened.  They won the cases they represented.

I just tried to recreate the bug with a new game, by using the "law student" option at character creation and getting three hippies arrested immediately.  The sleeper wasn't available for any of them, and the next day, the lawyer was gone from the list of sleepers.

Found the problem -- a minor logical error was removing their sleeper status and replacing it with love slave status every time they failed their check to see if they get to represent you.

Yea, to counter-act winning with sleeper armies.  Start converting high level conservatives... if you want effective sleepers.

An army of janitors can still work. They can make LCS more popular, and then later, make more people sympathetic to Liberal ideals. They just work indirectly though.

My sleeper lawyer ended up in "the justice system" rather than sleepers. He didn't help me during the trial (I didn't check if he was a sleeper before that). Also of  note he became a sleeper right before I was raided (and his contact was arrested).

Yes, that's part of the sleeper lawyers dissappearing bug. They're actually losing their sleeper status. Will be fixed next release.
