Actually, 4chan supported bub&bob, Facepunch(Gmod's forum) is where the Gordon took off, from there, we moved from Valve game section to general gaming, to Videos/Flash section, and finally New's Node(Thanks to a newsbot from CSnation). Then, we started advertising everywhere else. Valve who looked at the bigger picture(Most everyone should admit it wasn't just one community, it is everyone who voted), made an announcement on steam.
The rest can be described in the phrase: "steamroll'd".

When fighting Snake, Facepunch gave a much needed boost, along with the start of the advertising to other communities.
Thanks to the combined effort of everyone, we generally had the surprisingly strong elf on par with us(we were JUST slightly stronger, if they would of pushed at the wrong time we WOULD have lost). Then Valve came with the cavalry, in which we "steam-rolled" Link.
And now we are fighting Mario, in which we had a huge advantage at the beginning, we moved down to 60 in a few hours and are now in a balance(we are going down EXTREMELY slowly now).
All thanks to all the communities(Not JUST Facepunch, saying that would be ignorant) who supported us.
