There is indeed Sonic canon.  It wildly changes from title to title, but it's still technically canon.

How they haven't managed to make an entertaining game is beyond me as well.  Just by averages they should have accidentally made something fun by now.  Well, not counting Chronicles, but that was Bioware after all.

The problem is that 3D and speed do not mix well together. So it's hard to get that same sense from the 2D games as in the 3D one.

Although I personally liked Adventure 2, but that's just me.

The racing game market would beg to differ on the mutual exclusivity of 3D and entertaining speed.  Just look at the Burnout series; that's a good model, with it's Action Slowdowns and attention to spectacle over fiddlyness.  Besides, the speed segments of Unleashed are pretty good, they manage to be frantic while still reliable enough to be entertaining.  Just a pity it had to be tethered to all that other crap.

I'm not so good at racing games though. Whenever I have to turn, I crash into a wall, but instead of my car being destroyed, it just bouces me into the correct direction.

Not counting games like Burnout, of course.

Sonic Adventure 2 Battle was the only good 3D one.

Just don't stand on their drawings.

My bestest Chao is transparent, with white at the bottoms and light blue at the top.
I call him Frosty, and he looks like he is made of ice.
All stats maxed, of course, and all activities learned.

I'm going to remain neutral in the whole Cloud vs. Little Mac matter, mainly because that i'm a Final Fantasy fanatic, but i loath all the fanboys promoting him for stupid reasons. The two balance each other out.

I never played the original Punchout for the NES, but I played the hell out of Super Punchout for the SNES. It became so ingrained into my muscle memory that when I found out that the game had been put into Fight Night round 2 as a bonus game, I beat every boxer in record time, and got the special colored credit sequence on my first try.

I really resent that Nick Bruiser (the final boxer of Super Punchout) or his brother Rick haven't made any cameos or reappearances in any other Nintendo games. They were such interesting characters in my opinions.

Little Mac's only heroic deed was beating the crap out of ethnic stereotypes. If Cloud loses to him there will be epic rage on the internets.

Any opportunity to make FF7 fanboys rage is an opportunity worth taking, in my opinion.

Little Mac's only heroic deed was beating the crap out of ethnic stereotypes which were many times his size, weight, and strength. If Cloud loses to him there will be epic rage on the internets.

Any opportunity to make FF7 fanboys rage is an opportunity worth taking, in my opinion.

Remember that, canonically, Little Mac is 107 lbs! (49 kg!), which would make him a Light Flyweight which is what he'd be in were he in the WBA, the closest to the WVBA (the boxing association in the Punchout-verse) as far as acronyms go.

Oh, I know, I know, I didn't mean any disrespect to Little Mac. Punch Out games are awesome. I just wanted to emphasize the fact that it would be a particularly painful loss for Cloud fanboys, many of whom have probably never even heard of Little Mac.

I also like that you cited sources ;)
